The story takes place in a kingdom where the bossy Queen Aggravain makes a rule: no one in the kingdom can get married until her son, Prince Dauntless, finds a princess to marry. But every time a princess comes to the castle, the Queen gives her a very hard test so she doesn’t pass!
One day, Princess Winnifred, a brave and fun princess from the swamp, comes to the castle. She is not like the other princesses, and she brings lots of laughter and surprises.
The Queen decides to give her one last test using twenty mattresses and one tiny pea. Will Princess Winnifred pass the test?
