Position: Middle School Administrative Assistant
Qualifications:
● High School Diploma; experience preferred
● Ability to operate a personal computer and related software
● Skills in human relations and communication
● Ability to plan and organize; good work habits
● Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
Duties:
● Pupil accounting
● Maintain student attendance records
● Prepare and file state membership reports
● Prepare and file state immunization reports
● Collect and prepare deposits for school building
● Make, receive and route phone calls; take messages
● Maintain school records and files
● Distribute mail
● Greet visitors
● Type, prepare, distribute and file records/reports, correspondence, mailings, etc. related to building functions and Principal’s needs
● Orientate substitute teachers
● Take/transcribe notes for correspondence
● Provide appropriate first aid needs; distribute medications according to policy ● Order and maintain office supplies and equipment
● Serve as confidential assistant to principal
● Operate standard office equipment
● Distribute community/district flyers
● Other duties as assigned
