welcome to another edition of our Falcon flyby I'm superintendent Breen and I'm here with Mrs. Besser and we are here to visit the Christmas shop put on by her class and so the Mrs. Besser can you tell us a little bit about why you do this and what what this contributes to and and how it all works so last year was our first year and it was a big we earned a lot of money to put towards special activities that we do field trips and different things for example  last year we did a nutrition unit and then the kids all picked a healthy dish that they were going to cook and they budgeted and wrote down the ingredients and we visited the grocery store where they got to purchase and then come back and make that that was very enjoyable and another time we read the book The Best Christmas Pageant Ever and then we got to go to the theater and see it so that was a great experience for some of them a lot of these items I see are homemade and some of them are donated to the shop and the rest of the middle school gets to come in and Shop and those funds go towards all these Hands-On real life experiences that enhance the learning experience for the class I'm here with Zoe and as we said before that a lot of these items are homemade so it's always going to explain to us how they made these Christmas tree boards they're pretty high dollar item here so I want to I want to learn all about how these will make the yarn around the jbd 30 times oh okay and I'll do that after we were done with all the cut it on the bottom and then we took a board like this 1 and we glued why did you get the how did you get the tree trunk and the star we just screwed the um store and it okay cool well those are really cool they are very decorative and then after that we did we did that for every layer and then we glued every layer on the bottom on under the first layer and oh I see so it makes it different layers of the tree well thank you for doing this and and giving your kids such good opportunities to get outside the classroom and good luck with your sale thank you so much
